If you’ve never heard of Bokani Dyer, you’re about to discover why he’s considered one of the most celebrated jazz pianists to come out of South Africa. He’s performed at iconic venues like Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, and Jazzahead! in Germany. Critics call him one of the most creative musical voices of his generation, blending African rhythms, soulful melodies, and modern jazz improvisation.

And now, for one special evening, you’ll be able to see him perform right here in the heart of the Texas Hill Country — surrounded by oak trees, vineyards, and a Texas sunset.

This all came together thanks to our amazing wine club community. One of our wine club members mentioned their son works for Lincoln Center in New York, and after a few emails back and forth, we had the rare opportunity to book the Bokani Dyer Trio to perform at Coordinates Vineyards. It’s not every day that a band of this caliber comes to Hye, Texas, and we couldn’t be more excited.

What made it even better? When Bokani and his team heard we proudly serve South African wines, they knew it was the perfect match. Bokani is passionate about sharing his musical heritage, and we’re passionate about sharing incredible wines — turns out, jazz and Pinotage make the perfect pairing.
